Compliance and Control Audit of JobsOhio Posted

Columbus – In compliance with their statutory obligation, the Auditor of State and JobsOhio today posted the compliance and control audit of JobsOhio. In an agreement between the Auditor’s office and JobsOhio, it was determined that Deloitte & Touche LLP would complete the audit and the Auditor’s office would post it for public review.

The Auditor’s role is solely to suggest what work should be performed and post the report. The Auditor of State is required to participate in the development of the audit procedures, but has no other authority in the process. The Auditor of State did not examine the records or books of JobsOhio and did not conduct any interviews.

The work, and this report, are the product of the private auditor, Deloitte & Touche LLP. The audit included 41 agreed-upon procedures for JobsOhio and another 18 procedures for the JobsOhio Beverage System division.

JobsOhio is a 501(c)(4) non-profit corporation designed to promote and drive economic development through job creation and new capital investment in Ohio through business attraction, retention and expansion efforts.

The Auditor of State’s office, one of five independently elected statewide offices in Ohio is responsible for auditing more than 6,000 state and local government agencies. Under the direction of Auditor Keith Faber, the office also provides financial services to local governments, investigates and prevents fraud in public agencies, and promotes transparency in government.
