Statement from Auditor of State Dave Yost

Tuesday, May 6, 2014

Columbus – The following statement may be attributed to Auditor of State Dave Yost concerning the Ohio Department of Education’s changes to report cards of school districts found to have “scrubbed” attendance records:

“‘Scrubbing’ wasn’t just what they did to the cafeteria floor, and it wasn’t just about numbers,” Auditor Yost said.  “These new report cards show the true result of “scrubbing” – our children didn’t get the education they deserved.”
