Columbus – The following statement may be attributed to Auditor of State Dave Yost concerning the investigation released today by the Ohio Department of Education regarding school districts identified as “scrubbing” attendance data.

“I am pleased ODE followed through with their investigation and drew the same conclusions as our audit,” Auditor of State Dave Yost said.  “This is exactly the right step, but it’s only the first step.  We look forward to the actions that will follow these words.”
