Outgoing Fiscal Officers
Transitioning Out of Office
The Certificate of Transition shows that the outgoing fiscal officer has provided the new officer with the assets and information necessary to perform their duties.
Note: If you are a new fiscal officer, you are strongly encouraged to prepare a new Certificate as soon as possible and update it consistently for as long as you hold the position. To determine whether your office is required to complete a Certificate of Transition, refer to Ohio Revised Code (ORC) §5705.01(D)
Certificates of Transition are required by ORC §117.171 and must be completed and delivered before an outgoing fiscal officer's final day in the position.
